Half title, title printed in red and black, 7 engraved plates on fine tissue paper only (of 25), each plate signed in pencil by the engraver and, in 4 cases, by the artist [see note], the plates in window mounts, stamped in gilt on each mount with the engraver's name and initials, outer tissue guards. Unbound, as issued, in original cloth-backed half roan portfolio (worn). NUMBER 2 OF 112 COPIES, signed by the publisher. The engravings included are as follows: 1) William Closson after William H. Hunt's "The Listeners"; 2) T. Cole after Giotto's "The Entombment"; 3) John P. Davis after Edgar M. Ward's "The Cobblers" (signed by the artist in addition to the engraver); 4) G.
