Half title, 2-pages of publisher's advertisements at the end (light rectangular stain to pp. 100-101 from insertion of old coach ticket [still present]). Original green cloth, the upper cover stamped in gilt after a design by Thomas Sturge Moore depicting Thoor Ballylee in County Galway, Ireland, reflected in water, uncut (corners a little bumped, without the very scarce dust-jacket). Provenance: Marie L. Close (pictorial bookplate); 4-line autograph quotation in an early unidentified hand from Rabindranath Tagore's "Sleep" on the front free endpaper, headed, in the same hand, "Marie"; from the Collection of the late Professor Bernard Nevill (1930-2019).
