Half title, 2-pages of publisher's advertisements at the end (light rectangular stain to pp. 100-101 from insertion of old coach ticket [still present]). Original green cloth, the upper cover stamped in gilt after a design by Thomas Sturge Moore depicting Thoor Ballylee in County Galway, Ireland, reflected in water, uncut (corners a little bumped, without the very scarce dust-jacket). Provenance: Marie L. Close (pictorial bookplate); 4-line autograph quotation in an early unidentified hand from Rabindranath Tagore's "Sleep" on the front free endpaper, headed, in the same hand, "Marie"; from the Collection of the late Professor Bernard Nevill (1930-2019). A FINE BRIGHT COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION. In addition to the title poem, this important collection includes 'Sailing to Byzantium', 'Meditations in Time of Civil War' and 'Leda and the Swan'.
