Mounted limitation leaf, half title, title, foreword and 70 mounted caricature plates by F. C. Sadler (one plate detached, some very faint spotting to half title and title). Original dark blue roan, the upper cover lettered in gilt (spine and extremities rubbed). FIRST EDITION. NUMBER 73 OF 100 "EDITION DE LUXE" COPIES SIGNED BY THE PUBLISHER, and further signed by the artist at the end of the foreword. The first caricature depicts George V and the Chairman of Lloyd's, Mr Percy G. Mackinnon, present at the laying of the foundation stone for the company's new London building on May 23, 1925, both figures comically towered over by the Deputy Chairman Mr E. R. Pulbrook.
