Illustrations and diagrams, errata leaf (some spotting and browning to title, light marginal browning throughout). Contemporary [or ?original] cloth-backed pebbled boards gilt (rebacked preserving original spine, although with some loss, rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: Ernst [?]Francke, 1876 (signature on front free endpaper); from the Collection of Peter and Margarethe Braune. FIRST EDITION of a work which was "the foundation of experimental psychology, [and] which uses quantitative methods to study psychological processes such as perception and the formation of ideas" (DSB).
