FERDINAND I, Holy Roman Emperor (1503-64). Large document on parchment written in a dense Germanic script, 68-lines, signed "Ferdinand", c. 1540, folded, with large red wax seal of Ferdinand I attached to the document with silver wire (seal chipped at lower edge with some loss), the dimensions of the document approximately 580 x 800mm., the diameter of the seal 120mm. Provenance: [?]"Bischoff" (old signature on verso of document).
