the Golden Eyes, translated by Ernest Dowson. Chicago: Privately Printed at
the Sign of the Peacock, 1928. Large 8vo (238 x 160mm). Half title, title
printed in black and green, 8 plates by Donald Denton, each in 2 states, one
monochrome, the other printed in colours and gold (a few spots). Original black
cloth decorated in gold, top edges gilt, others uncut. Provenance:
illegible inscription on front pastedown. With Francis Carco’s Bob et
Bobette s’ Amusent (Paris, 1930, coloured etched plates by André Dignimont,
original printed wrappers, NUMBER 74 OF 833 COPIES). (2)
