Condition Report:

1. Marks clear to base and scratch weight, numbered ‘No. 1’. Small bruises to the edges of the base with one deeper bruise. Staining to the interior of the base. The shape of the cover slightly warped.

2. Marks and scratch weights clear. The same substance as the first dish stains the second. Corners ith some crimping and bruises. Scratches consistent with use. The cover as before. A deeper scratch to the underside edge of the base , perhaps from the manufacturing.

3. Base marks clear but maker’s mark rubbed. The same staining throughout as the first two.  A deeper scratch to the underside edge of the base , perhaps from the manufacturing. A split repair to the border of the cover as photographed..

 4. Marks to base clear. Possible seam repair ot one corner but the staining obscures this. Cut marks to the corner of the cover. Some heavier staining or scolding to the right of the hallmarks on the  base.

The covers appear to have been made to fit the bases through the addition of a border and handles and later chased. The chasing is pushing through in some places but no holes are apparent. General marks and wear consistent with age.
