i) Portrait of Catherine Tittley - Canvas relined; traces of extensive, jagged tear to centre of work, restoration to tear visible to the naked eye; traces of craquelure pattern throughout; ultraviolet confirms restoration to tear
ii) Portrait of Woman in black - Canvas relined; extensive craquelure throughout; Ultraviolet reveals retouching to face and to vertical lines on the right hand border of picture, possibly due to an old repair.
