It has been suggested to us that this is not a clan badge perse, but a personal badge for Romney Earl of (Marsham) Gayton Hall, King's Lynn.  The brooch is in good condition, the enamel is in good condition, the brooch would benefit from cleaning.  Box a little worn within, the silk within the lid is a little stained and perished, catch to box not working, two old labels are stuck underneath the box, leather of box would benefit from a wax polish
