Provenance:
o Spencer House, St. James’s, London. Please refer to the Bellmans website article for further details
o The largest base commissioned by Spencer House from Titian Studio in 1992 to hold a sculpture of the Sleeping Ariadne but it is not clear if the sculpture was ever displayed in the State Rooms on this base. The base was replaced with a plain plinth in 1997 and displayed in the Ante Room.

o The square stepped base was commissioned to display marble bust of Charles James Fox after Joseph Nollekens.
