The Vacani School of Dance was founded in 1915 by Maguerite Vacani and later run by her neice Betty Vacani. Maguerite's mother and grandmother had previously taught dance to high society children and hosted charity matinees. During the war, Betty Vacani attended Kensington Palace to teach the young Princesses personally. The Royal Family's connection to the school continued with King Charles being taught there and Princess Diana later attending and teaching at the school.
