Condition report:
Inevitable scuffs, scrathes, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age. Most notably wear and loss along the edges of the hinged lid and particular loss and damage to the back edge. Various light cracks. Wear and loss of detail to the painted decoration.
Tarnishing to mounts.
Missing mounts to the back vertical edges. Some missing pins, some later including possibly the two screws into the escutcheon.
Velvet lining later.
Lock loose.
