Condition report:
Some rubbing and light tarnishing. Relatively fine casting and finishing to the detail.
Lacking plinth base.
The Foundry of LeBlanc was the heir to the famous Barbedienne Factory, France. Barbedienne died in 1891, after which Gustave LeBlanc, then M. LeBlanc took over the factory and ceased operation in 1952. LeBlanc is known for its production of small-scale sculptural decorations and objets d'art during the Beaux Art period of the late 19th and early 20th Century.
