A CARVED WOOD DRUM, PROBABLY KUBA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (2)

With bands of geometric decoration, hide covered and handle, 84cm high; together with a Yaka split drum, carved wood with a bird perched on the top of the figure’s head, 52cm high

Condition report: 

The hide covering the drum with a hole and probably a replacement covering. 

Various shrinkage splits to the body and spreading foot.  

The smaller split drum with various knocks and scuffs, chips and wear.
