Estimate: £500 - £800
Hammer price: £1,400
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Each with tapering pierced acanthus backplate, stamped to the reverse ‘H.PICARD’ and numbered L7, issuing downswept arms with canted square candle-nozzles, terminating with laurel berry finials, 63.5cm high

Condition report:

These wall appliqués are robustly made and weighty, possibly originally for an institution..

The candle nozzles are drilled at the bases and the arms appear to be hollow to accommodate electrically wiring.

Tarnishing and general wear, dirt and dust as to be expected. Some small areas of verdi-gris.
