AN ARTS & CRAFTS SILVER AND ENAMEL MOUNTED TABLE CIGARETTE BOX OF NAVAL INTEREST

The hinged lid enamelled with a view of two Viking style ships in sail at sea, the front enamelled with a Naval crown, one side enamelled with a dolphin, the other side enamelled with a scallop shell, London 1924, marked J.E.W and C J P, size 12.4cm x 8.1cm, wooden lined within the base

Condition report: enamel panel to top of lid - several hairline cracks and some loss of enamel (I.e chips) at the centre. Enamel to front side of box - possible chip to top left corner obscured by dried silver polish. Dolphin enamel at side - good condition. Shell panel at side - good condition. The raised feet are a little distorted in places. A few minor surface marks to the corners of the sides. Little interior dirt to the wooden lining of the box. Hinge good condition.
