Four chairs are stamped to the underside of the front rail ‘GEE’, probably for John Gee.
The other four not stamped and later.
All earlier chairs later re-caned. Two later examples with holes to the front of the caning, where it meets the seat rail. The with sagging cane and a hole at the front. Another double caned. The four that are stamped have greater wear and age in comparisons to the unstamped four; various small dents and knocks, notably to the fronts of the seat rails.. One with a repaired break to the upright of the back. General scuffs, dents and knocks to the surfaces, with the odd light worm holes.
One arm-chair with metal brackets to support the side rails; repaired joint to the side rails and front legs.
The metal roundels are tarnished.
General wear, rubbing and scuffs to the ebonising.
