Thomas Gill (1744-1801) was a Birmingham swordsmith of the late 18th Century supplying the army during the Napoleonic Wars. He promoted British made swords, as opposed to those made in Germany. His blades were toughened and tested, carrying his warranty.
Condition report:
Inevitable scuffs, scratches and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
A few small minor dents but only minor. The scabbard is 87cm long approx. The blade 85cm long. the blade is 4cm wide at its broadest towards the tip and and 3.5cm towards the top.
