Condition Report

An accompanying Tessiers Limited schedule dated 12.1.1982, item 51, states Attributed to Nicholas Sprimont, unmarked, circa 1750, from the celebrated collection of The Late Colonel Tipping, sold at Christies May 15th 1911, where it was attributed to Paul Lamerie

The three feet are all pierced and have rubbing to the gilding, there is a dark patch under one foot which appears to be an old solder repair, has probably been re gilded in the past, there is a crack to the right hand side of the handle and to a lesser extent to the left hand side of the handle, also the crest and motto is a bit worn and of a rather crude quality
