AFTER GASTON D’ILLIERS (FRENCH, 1876 - 1932): TWO EQUESTRIAN BRONZE MODELS OF A BUCKING HORSE AND A STANDING HORSE (2)

The first, probably Bucking Percheron, cast with signature, D’ILLIERS, to the base 12cm high; the other standing example, possibly a cobb, stamped ‘G D’ILLIERS’, 13cm long overall

Condition Report: 

The standing cobb, is similar to a model known as 'Miss', although the back leg is slightly more raised. This example's stamped signature is also a little mis-aligned. See additional image. 

The second example with signature to the cast. This example is very likely to be an early 20th Century cast.

Some wear, rubbing to patina with the odd scuff revealing the bronze base. Dirt and dust in areas.
