Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.
Provenance; Anthony Eden, Binderton House, Sussex. The Collection of The Earl and
Countess of Avon.
Condition report:
The panels are in a fragile state - as can be seen from the images - numerous cracks, lifting and some subsequent loss. Fading and discolouration. Some areas showing the canvas backing beneath. The reverse covered in a stiff fabric, also discoloured and worn. One corner lifting at the back.
The frame in good condition. A few light and general inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
