A 19TH CENTURY AND EARLIER MAHOGANY FOUR POSTER BED WITH CARVED COLUMNS

Condition report: 

There are no slats to the base. 

The bed breaks down into multiple smaller parts which are screwed or slotted together. 

Some worm damage in areas. Panelled sections to the sides of the base of the two uprights,  that slide out to reveal the screw join are loose, worn and chipped including one with a split. The moulding to the feet is loose and one piece missing. See images. 

The head board is relatively crudely dowelled into the side upright, which is also relatively unfinished timber - see photographs. 

Otherwise, general inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.
