The smaller Dieppe box with losses to the pierced fret work and losses to the underside, notably the Mars figure missing a leg. Notable losses to one corner and section of fret to the top.
The foil backing to both is tarnished with losses and discolouration.
The larger box is more naive in construction and decorations. Many chips and numerous losses commensurate with use and age. Various splits to the applied sections.
