Lewis Gilbert (d.2018), the celebrated film director, producer and screenwriter, best known for his 007 James Bond movies and Alfie.

Condition report:

A touch up of blue paint to the edge of the painting to the left side of 6 o'clock, otherwise the painting appears to be in good condition when viewed under 10x magnification and UV light, a few deep scratches to the front glass by her hat, a couple of scratches to the blue enamel reverse noticeable to the unaided eye at approx 4 o'clock otherwise the enamel appears to be ok however there is a sticker covering the bottom, the glazed hair-work compartment seems to be in good condition, there is dust and dirt resting beneath the glass on both sides.
