The cover inset with a glazed oval panel housing a portrait miniature of lady, apparently unsigned, the portrait approx 7.8cm 6.7cm, the box 10.5cm diameter x 2.5cm high

The base plate of the box is loose and requires refitting, the cover portrait panel is ill-fitting and possibly later added.
