The case finely engraved all over with foliage, with original gilding, drop handle above large bevelled glass panel showing the escapement below, the front and sides each with a bevelled glass panel, the dial with finely engraved gilt mask enclosing signed white enamel dial BOURDIN Hr DU ROI / RUE DE LA PAIX 24, PARIS with seconds dial at the XII and alarm subsidiary below the VI, with signed shuttered back panel, and selectors for SONNE/ SILENCe and Gde SONie and Pte SONie, winding and hand-setting apertures and with alarm setting and winding apertures, the twin train movement with original gilt platform, bi-metallic balance with three weights, duplex escapement, striking and repeating the hours and quarters on two bells
