Modelled with a standing figure of Virgil in classical robes, supporting a panel engraved Les Georgiques / L’eneide, beside a laurel wreath and scroll, the signed gilt engine-turned dial with Roman chapters and blued steel Breguet hands, with engine-turned centre, the movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on a bell, on a plinth base with ribbon-tied laurel swag, on a stepped base and scrolled feet

CONDITION REPORT

With pendulum and key.

Overall the case is in good condition.  Some slight wear to edges of gilding in places.  The movement is very oily, but capable of running with a service.
