The case with a swept foliate-mounted pediment, with four bevelled glass panels, on scrolled foliate cast base, with 3 3/4in circular cream-enamelled dial with foliate swags and pierced gilt hands, with drum-shaped movement striking on a coiled gong and with mercury compensated pendulum

CONDITION REPORT 

With winding key and pendulum.  

The gilding is worn in places on the spelter pediment and base.  There is a crack to the metal at the righthand top of the case.  The clock is capable of functioning, subject to a service.  The coiled gong has been re-soldered to its brass block.
