Probably South Staffordshire, late 18th century
Of rectangular form with gilt metal mounts, the lid painted with a shepherd and shepherdess in a landscape, the sides with landscape panels, against a deep blue ground with white highlights, the interior inscribed `Secret en Amour', 5cm wide; also a rectangular snuff box printed and coloured with Europa and the Bull and painted with flower sprays, 6.75cm wide
