Eerste Deel [all published], Vervattende De voor uitgegeven Cronyken van de Heeren, Jacobus Eyndius, en Johan Reygersberg, veel vermeerdert ontrent deses Landschaps Oudheden en Herkomsten, Wateren en Stroomen, Eilanden, Steden, en Heerlykheden. Middelburg: "By Joannes Meertens, Boekverkooper in de Gist-straet, en zyn mede te bekomen tot Amsterdam, by Abraham van Someren, Boekverkooper," 1696 [but 1700-[?]1704]. Part I only [all published], folio (374 x 225mm). Half title, engraved additional allegorical title by Joseph Mulder, title printed in red and black with engraved coat-of-arms, large folding engraved map mounted on a hinge, 2 further double-page engraved maps, 81 engraved plates, bird's-eye-views and heraldic plates (?only, of 87), most double-page or folding, text printed in double column, one engraved map in the text, initials and headpieces (2 plates laid down, a few repairs on versos, a few tears without loss, some light mainly marginal spotting and staining). Contemporary speckled calf, rebacked and recornered preserving the old spine in 7 compartments elaborately decorated in gilt (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: A. [?] Reigersberg Vresluys, Zwaluwenburg (old signature on half title). This copy does not include the leaves - which are often lacking - headed "Besluyt Tot de Zeelandsche Cronyk" at the end (?printed in 1704) announcing the second part of the work, which never materialised.
