Half title in vol. one, two additional engraved titles (engraved titles quite heavily spotted, some other light mainly marginal spotting and staining). FINELY BOUND in contemporary straight-grained crimson morocco gilt, the covers with gilt foliate and triple fillet borders, the spines gilt in compartments, gilt edges (a few light scuffs to the covers of the first volume). Provenance: R. Griffin & Co., Glasgow (very small old bookseller's labels on the front free endpapers); partly legible gift inscriptions on the front free endpapers dated 1824. (2)
