Title printed in orange and black, monochrome photographed portrait of the author by Michael Montfort. Original coloured decorated paper boards by Earle Grey, printed label on the spine, grey/green endpapers, acetate wrapper. Provenance: from the Collection of David Kotthoff. A FINE COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION of the last collection of poems published in the author's lifetime. ONE OF 251 COPIES (THIS LETTERED "Y") SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND WITH AN ORIGINAL COLOURED SILKSCREEN PRINT BY THE AUTHOR INSERTED AT THE FRONT SIGNED "BUK 92". "Despite the uneven quality, much of this late outpouring of work was among the best poetry Bukowski ever wrote. And the first book he wrote using the Apple Mac, the 1992 anthology The Last Night of the Earth Poems, is one of his finest collections (Sounes, p.223). Krumhansl 129e.
