Volume one, part II ("Berkshire"), only (of 6 [all published]), 4to (294 x 230mm). Contemporary half calf (very worn, covers detached). FIRST EDITION. A GRANGERISED COPY, POSSIBLY THE AUTHORS' OWN. This unique copy contains approximately 90 engraved plates by Samuel Lysons, F. Nash, and others, some double-page or folding, 2 hand-coloured, and includes a number of original drawings, inserted passages of contemporary text, and copious annotation, often correcting or amending the text. With Robert Richard Tighe & James Edward Davis's Annals of Windsor, being a History of the Castle and Town; with some Account of Eton and Places Adjacent (London, 1858, 2 vols., large 8vo, 2 large folding coloured maps, original red buckram gilt, armorial bookplate of Lionel Cust.
