Full-page monotone portraits, numerous coloured leaves inserted, folding plan of Paris with locations of all cinemas marked, advertisements (some light spotting and staining). Original pale blue cloth lettered in gilt, finger tabs (gilt faded, some staining). 1927 was a significant year in the history of cinema since it marked the launch of the first 'talkie', "The Jazz Singer", and the German expressionist film "Metropolis", generally regarded as the first film in the 'science fiction' genre.
