ALBUM - An album on c.18 card leaves containing numerous small mounted embossed crests, many heightened in gold, with very fine original painted mount designs, mostly floral but including one of croquet motifs, the arms of Oxford and Cambridge colleges, the Royal Family and nobility of England, The Royal Navy, Infantry Regiments, etc., the card leaves mounted on hinges throughout, contained in a dark blue morocco album embossed with blind-stamped quatrefoils, 4 raised bands, gilt edges, elaborate metal clasps with "Depose WM" stamped in gilt on the insides, 4to (200 x 155mm), second half of the 19th-century. Provenance: "A. M. W." (initials stamped in gilt on the upper cover).
