JARDINE, William (1800-74).  The Natural History of the Felinæ. Edinburgh: W. H. Lizars (and others), 1834. Small oblong 4to (100 x 170mm). 36 hand-coloured wood-engraved plates, including 2 by Edward Lear ([?]only, of 38, one plate detached, final plate laid down, some plates cropped, without text, occasional light spotting). Modern buckram-backed marbled boards (inner hinges broken). Provenance: L. H. Bradford (signature on front free endpaper); "To Mr Wardle who likes cats large and small, L. B." (inscription beneath signature). The title page calls for "thirty-eight plates, coloured, and numerous wood-cuts; with memoir of Cuvier." With H. A. F. Lindsay and C. M.
