Unbound, but stitching intact, uncut. Provenance: "William [?]Measam, Jan 1st 1843" (large calligraphic signature on front blank); "Abraham Turner. His Book presented to him by his Sister Hannah June 14th 1857 when about to sail to South Australia in the Ship Oregon" (inscription on front blank); "James and Hannah Barnett. Thare[sic] Book 1843" (further inscription in a different hand on front blank). FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH of this account of the earliest Russian circumnavigation of the world, translated by the author, and important for its descriptions of the Northwest coast of America, Alaska and Hawaii.
