Small oblong 4to (100 x 150mm). 11 engraved maps (only) of Scotland and Ireland, titles within baroque cartouches (lightly browned, some mainly marginal staining). Contemporary half calf and marbled boards (rubbed and scuffed, small black ink stain to upper cover, later endpapers). The titles of the maps present are as follows: "The Kingdome of Scotland", "The South Pt. of Scotland wherein are contayned Edinbourgh, St Andrew and Glasco Archbishop," "The Southern parte of Scotland wherein is ye strange Lake Lomund" [why "strange"?], "The Eastern part of Scotland wherein are divers Shires and the University of Aberdeen", "Part of Scotland it is called of the inhabitance Stranerne with his borderers", "The Iles of Hebrides wt. their borderer's", "Cathanes And Orkney Ins:," "The Kingdome of Irland," "Mounster", "Linster" and "Connack".
