old marks and scratches present all over with a split at both the left and right side of the top, cataloged as being 17th century and later due to the top being a later addition, the bottom part would of originally been a stand for a chest on stand, later stretcher fitted across the back. see additional images. no signs of old wood worm, some splits to the front around the drawers, see images.
