A JAPANESE GILT-METAL MOUNTED LACQUER SNUFF BOX

The cover and sides decorated in gilt with pagodas, trees and birds, 6.5cm wide x 5cm deep x 3.3cm high.

Condition:

- Some loss of gilding to the raised areas particularly noticeable in the faces of the birds
- There is a small split running from the back of the hinge however this is not affecting use
- The hinge is good and strong and the cover shuts well
