A PAIR OF EDWARDIAN SILVER MOUNTED YEW WOOD CANDLESTICKS

In the 15th century style, 13cm high, each with a label to the underside stating that these candlesticks are a copy of those used by Cardinal Beaufort when Master of the hospital of St. Cross near Winchester founded by Cardinal de Blois in 1136.

Condition report:
- The rim of one of the silver mounts is bent and misshapen
- Heavy tarnishing to the silver and remnants of wax
- The wood with some gauges, marks and shrinkage cracks
