Signed ‘Pinedo’ to the base of the cast and with foundry mark, inscribed title to the front, 33 cm high; Together with a bronze sculpture of a Water Carrier, after Jean Didier Debut, (1824-1893), signed ‘Debut’ to the cast and with foundry stamp, inscribed ‘Prix de Rome’ to the plaque, 33 cm high (2)

Condition report:

Both bases with foundry seals stamped ‘ PARIS BRONZE GARANTI’. 

Overall, light scuffs and rubbing to the dark brown patina. 

Wear more notable to areas where typically handled. 

The Water Carrier with a red hat, which is lightly worn and scuffed. 

Plaques to the front have been resecured, which can be seen by the fresher pins to the underside. 

Dirt and dust to the recesses.
