The gilt jewelled lever movement numbered 8612, 18ct gold inner case, the enamelled dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands (the watch glass lacking), London 1856, with two watch keys, gross weight of watch 71 gms

Condition Report: The watch is currently working, it winds and runs. There is a hair crack to the dial which runs from the dial center, round the edge of the seconds and then out to four o'clock. The seconds section of the dial looks depressed inwards. The hands have been re-blackened. There is some wear and one or two shallow dents to the case edge. The case back is rather worn with loss of definition to the engine turning. There is probable erasure of the center of the cartouche of the caseback. There are old scratches around the winding holes. The top suspension bow is plated. Case diameter 46mm
