Condition Report

The mount has been rather rubbed as a result of polishing in the past, with loss of definition of the hallmark, which is unreadable, loss of definition to the textured decoration, old scratch to the enamel to the top right hand corner, borders of the enamel rather dirty, strut at the back is badly damaged, leather covering perished in places, old poor quality restoration to the back of one of the feet of the frame, with loss to section of original frame, small section lacking from the back of the other foot.  Hinge to strut very wobbly, evidence of old bluetack to try to stabilize the frame in the past.  Overall rather poor condition
