A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED AND TORTOISESHELL SHAPED RECTANGULAR PHOTOGRAPH FRAME AND ANOTHER FRAME (2)

With floral, foliate and scrolled decoration, the backing panel lacking, fitted with an associated strut, size of frame 21cm x 15.5cm, Birmingham 1896, maker Henry Matthews, also a silver plated metal Art Nouveau shaped rectangular photograph frame with scroll and blue/green beaded decoration, the backing panel lacking, size 20.5cm x 15cm

Condition Report

Silver and tortoiseshell frame; loss of section to lower right hand side, also small piece missing towards the top left hand side of the frame, there are a few surface dents, the pins appear to be mostly replaced, the one halfway up on the right hand side is missing, hallmark is clear, the back panel is missing.  Split to tortoiseshell runs right through at top right hand corner.  Evidence of glue and old matt sellotape at the back at this point.  Back strut very crude and looks base metal, the slide frame at the back looks to be silver plated, some glue deposit at top left hand corner when viewed from the back, also number 5

The plated Art Nouveau frame; one bead lacking top left of frame, the plating is heavily tarnished, with some loss, the backing panel is lacking, some distortion to the frame front when viewed from both the bottom and the top, the drop in panel that would have backed a photograph is lacking.  There are no marks to the frame
