Condition Report:

Light wear to the high points of the decoration and gilding. Lacking the light fitting and band that affixes below the arms, leaving drill holes for the fittings.

There are a number of lamps of this design bearing the signature M. Meliodon. According to some research this could have been be cast after J.A Meliodon left Paris for America, and possibly the JA are blended in but the sculptor was no longer available to verify the work.. However, this is speculation. For further discussion see ‘Art Nouveau Craftwork & Industry’ Meliodon signature .
