A diamond pendant brooch, circa 1900, of shaped circular form, the centre cluster mounted with the principal cushion shaped diamond in a surround of smaller cushion shaped diamonds, otherwise further set with small cushion shaped diamonds, the detachable suspension loop mounted with three cushion shaped diamonds, diameter 30mm, gross weight 10 gms, with the original fitted case.
The principal diamond has a few internal pique inclusions, some of which are surface reaching, the remaining diamonds are variously faceted old cut stones, some have a few internal inclusions, but are generally fairly white. The setting originally would have been yellow gold backed and silver fronted. It has at some stage, been rhodium plated over to prevent the silver tarnishing. This is now beginning to wear away down to the original silver setting, otherwise in good condition. Case in good condition, just a bit grubby around the hinge.
