A Meissen group of Augustus III and Maria Josepha , early 20th century, after the model by J.J Kaendler, modelled standing holding hands, he with a snuff box box in his other hand, she in wide crinoline dress holding a fan, blue crossed swords mark, incised 550, impressed 1520, 22cm. high.
Hilt of sword has been restored and has broken off. Small restoration to bottom of sword. Very shallow chip along bottom edge of crinoline dress on reverse of figure.
