A Meissen pierced oval two-handled chestnut basket and cover, late 19th century, painted with flower panels, the cover with a chestnut modelled knop, blue crossed swords mark, 24cm. wide across handles, (2).
Some restoration around the bottom edge of each of the circular feet. Small restoration and a small chip to the edge of one handle. The cover has repaired breaks and and filled in chips to the rim.
