A large Carl Thieme, Potschappel, two-handled vase and cover, late 19th century, set with rams mask handles, the body painted each side with figures in landscapes, the pierced cover surmounted by a floral knop, (a.f), blue painted factory mark, 67cm. high, (2).
Vase with glued section to rim chip, approx. 7cm. by 3cm. with a small rim chip at the top of each break. Another small chip and haircrack to rim. Shallow chip to one of ram's horns. Some possible re-gilding around top of socle foot. Some small losses to flowers and leaves on foot. Some wear to gilding. The glaze has crazed on the body of the vase.
